Los Angeles Supportive Housing Loan Fund

Project type

Building Project

Location

Los Angeles, California

Description: Partnering with the Corporation for Supportive Housing and the Los Angeles Housing and Community Investment Department, the Supportive Housing Loan Fund allows developers to acquire properties that are prime candidates for supportive housing. This fund was made to end chronic homelessness in Los Angeles. It is currently investing $66 million in 39 projects totaling nearly 2,500 supportive and affordable apartments.

What makes it different: With these housing units, supportive services are provided to ensure all individuals, especially those coming directly from the street, remain stable and receive a chance to flourish. These services range from on-site to community-based services, including mental health case management, employment assistance and connection to health care.
